Demonstration of the hack is fake:

Video presentation of the demonstration has been altered or modified to make the hack appear more efficient than it truly is. This includes hardcoding values, altering the real-time speed of hacks, etc. Full-disclosure for any shortcuts taken is expected.

Coding was done or started before the start of the hackathon:

If the complexity or polish of a hack appears to be too advanced to have been completed in the allotted time or beyond the skills for the level being submitted (beginner vs. non-beginner), the methods or teammates may be investigated to maintain the integrity of the competition.

Coding was started at the allowed time, but non-reported teammates have participated.

If the complexity or polish of a hack appears to be too advanced to have been completed by the reported amount of teammates, the methods or team may be investigated to maintain the integrity of the competition.
What precautions will Women/Hacks take against cheating?

All finalists will be required to submit their hack’s source code

If you suspect a team is participating in activities that might grant them an unfair advantage please report it to our cheating concerns discord channel.
Consequences:

Any form of cheating will result in IMMEDIATE disqualification from the hackathon

If cheating is found among prize-winning teams, prizes will be passed down to the next highest scoring team.
